CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Sunday was a busy day for the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Early Sunday morning, police were called to a shooting in the 3400 block of Kay Street. Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident that occurred at about 6 a.m. in an area behind the Kostoryz H-E-B store.
Police say there was a fight between two people when someone started shooting.
Five shots were fired.
A neighbor told KRISTV that because of this incident, he and his neighbors plan to start a neighborhood watch.
“Neighbors are concerned with the amount of shootings that are coming around here we have neighbors that are trying to get involved, we hope to make a difference here and weed out some of this bad that is coming around here,” Raul Ortiz said.
So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting.
