CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police discovered a body during a welfare check at 5402 Leopard Street at the Greyhound RV Park.

Police say the original call, which came at 12:49 p.m. Thursday was a welfare check. They noticed the body of a 78-year-old man while making the search.

CCPD Senior Officer Travis Pace confirms that officers when officers were making their welfare check, they couldn't find the person they were looking for and made their way inside the home. That's when they found a person dead.

Police say they don't know what caused the person's death.

There was no power to the RV they inspected.

We'll have more on this developing story when we learn about it.
