UPDATE (9:15 p.m. Tuesday): CCISD Superintendent Roland Hernandez told KRIS 6 "I think that the measures we have in place are really good and strong and we’ve had other districts to call us and see what we’re doing. While discussions have been had about metal detectors, it’s not something being implemented currently. Some campuses have implemented clear backpacks and the district may consider implementing that as a whole."
