The body of 21-year-old Cpl. Doyle Wayne Wofford returned home Wednesday night.
The United States Marine from Orange Grove recently was shot and killed outside his home in Jacksonville, N.C. was flown to San Antonio and then driven to a funeral home in Alice.
He was escorted by law enforcement officers and first responders from around the area.
Wofford will be laid to rest with full military honors Saturday in Orange Grove.
An investigation into his death is ongoing.
