UPDATE (Wednesday 8/24/2022):
Officials with the Corpus Christi Police Department said the vehicle and motorcycle collided in the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was speeding, police said, and is in the hospital with critical injuries.
No one in the vehicle was injured from the accident.

A major vehicle accident occurred on South Staples Street and Holly Road, according to a post on the Corpus Christi Police Department's Facebook page
Southbound lanes of travel on Staples are shut down until further notice.
All traffic will be rerouted, and officials said to find an alternative route, if possible.
A KRIS 6 News crew on-scene confirms a motorcycle is involved in the accident.
