CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police are investigating a shooting late in the 800 block of Indiana Avenue late Tuesday night that send a man to the hospital.
Corpus Christi Police Department Lt. David Saldana said a man, about 19 or 20 years old, was shot outside a home at about 10:26 p.m.
"When (nearby) officers arrived, a witness out here was able to say that a gentleman was struck by a bullet, and that there were two shots fired at him," Sandana said. "A few minutes later, the hospital notified us that they had a walk-in shooting."
Saldana said the victim was rushed to surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.
Saldana was unsure of the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The incident still is under investigation.
