Man found guilty to robbing local bank, sentenced to prison

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — It's federal prison for a man who robbed a Kleberg Bank here in Corpus Christi last year.

44-year-old Jesse Lemmons pleaded guilty to robbing the bank near the Crosstown Expressway in January of 2020.

He held bank employees at gunpoint during the robbery and threatened to shoot several of them.

Thursday, a federal judge sentenced him to two and a half years in federal prison for the bank robbery.

He also received seven years for displaying a firearm during the robbery, which will be served consecutively.
