The annual free cab-ride program put on by Andrews Distributing returns this year.

The free rides will only be offered from 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve to 3 a.m. New Year’s Day.

To get a free cab ride, call or text (361) 299-9999.

The cabs will only take you home.

This service is only available in the Corpus Christi area, which includes Robstown, Flour Bluff, Padre Island, and Five Points.

Apollo Towing Service also will be teaming up this year for its 12th annual No Excuse Holiday Campaign in conjunction with the Nueces County District Attorney's Office and L&F Distributors.

Drivers in Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, Robstown and Portland are eligible for a free tow, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday (New Year's Eve), and running through 6 p.m. Sunday.

The towed vehicle must be operational, and drivers will be required to hand over their keys to the tow-truck driver, and only the vehicle's driver will be able to be transported. Drivers also will need to wear a mask and not be sick.

In a release, Apollo Towing states that it has towed 421 drivers over the last 11 years.

Uber also has partnered with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Governor's Highway Safety Association to offer free $20 ride credits on the app. All you have to do is type "TXDOT20" in the app to receive the funds.

The offer is good until Jan. 14, and must be used within the hours of 5 p.m. and 5 a.m.
