We've had so many phone calls and social media posts and messages asking about our longtime evening anchor Lee Sausley: Where is he? Is he still with KRIS 6? When is he coming back? Is he coming back? Is he OK?
Firstly, thanks so much for loving Lee. He's OK now.
Out of respect for Lee's privacy, and because of medical privacy laws, all we could tell you was that he was out and would be back soon. Now we can tell you, with Lee's blessing, that he underwent carotid artery surgery early last month and has been at home recovering.
He says he'll be back very soon, and according to our news director Paul Alexander who spoke with him yesterday, he's doing very well.
