UPDATE (4:49 p.m. Wednesday): The Labonte Park turnaround under Interstate 37 is being closed sporadically over the next two weeks, according to a news release.
While the turnaround is closed, drivers will be redirected to an alternate with a 10 ft. clearance. Vehicles needing more clearance are asked to use southbound Labonte Park exit.
For those needing the turnaround with higher clearance, waits can be between 30-45 minutes in order for TxDOT to move heavy equipment such as cranes. Other drivers also may have to wait about five minutes so the equipment can be moved.
