CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Medics braved the cold temperatures Saturday morning as they administered several COVID-19 vaccines to the public.

La Amistad Community Health Clinic held a clinic at the old Spohn Memorial Hospital from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. They were giving the second dose of the Moderna vaccine to several patients. Medical workers along with law enforcement officers directing traffic were all bundled up. They wore layers of clothing, jackets, beanies, and gloves to keep warm. The officers topped their layers with a reflective vest.

In the end, they administered hundreds of vaccines in 33-degree weather.
