ALICE, TEXAS — According to the San Antonio police department, a Jim Wells County elected official was arrested last week.
The news was first reported by the Alice Echo News Journal Wednesday afternoon.
Rene David Guerrero, who is the Jim Wells County District Clerk, was charged with lewd conduct.
San Antonio police stated they were called to the 6400 block of McCullough Avenue around 1 p.m. Aug. 20,, and Guerrero was arrested.
Guerrero is a well recognized school board member for Alice Independent School District.
