A high speed chase that lasted more than 30 minutes Wednesday afternoon, ended in front of someone's home.

KRIS 6 News spoke to the homeowner, who said he was outside in the backyard when he heard the chase -- then a loud bang.

“I heard a whole bunch of sirens,” said the homeowner, who didn’t want to go on-camera. “And before I knew it, I heard a real hard break from the tires breaking really hard, and a real loud crash.”

He said the suspects crashed the vehicle into a pole outside of his home, and if it wasn't for that pole, things could've ended much differently.

“I’m just glad this pole was right here, because the way they were coming, it looks like it could've hit my house on the edge of it,” said the homeowner. “I’m just glad my kids weren’t out here and nobody got hurt.”

It turns out, one of the suspects involved in the pursuit recorded it live on social media.

“(It’s) something you don’t expect to see out of a pursuit,” said DPS Public Information Officer Sgt. Nathan Brandley. “To us it seems like it’s a joke to them. They didn’t take it seriously.”

Brandley now has a message for drivers if they get pulled over by DPS in the future.

“Take it seriously if you’re going to be stopped,” Brandley said. “If you have black and whites behind, you and there are lights activated, move over.”

Two minors were inside the vehicle along with 19-year-old Marissa Cooper. They were all arrested. Cooper is facing several charges, including drug possession, engaging in organized criminal activity and hindering apprehension or prosecution known felon. She remains at the Nueces County Jail.

According to DPS, one of the other suspects was wanted.

The chase started somewhere on I-37 near Odem, and ended along the I-37 access road near Navigation Blvd. DPS troopers used spike strips and hit the suspect’s vehicle to make it stop.
