CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — H-E-B is voluntarily removing all products that contain romaine lettuce from its stores.

The grocery giant says they are committed to the quality of its products and the safety of its customers.

The voluntary recall is in response to the CDC and the FDA issuing a notice to retailers and suppliers to withdraw romaine lettuce harvested from Salinas, California, due to potential contamination of E. coli.

H-E-B says to date there have been no reports of illness from H-E-B customers.

Customers who purchased the product should throw it away or can return it for a full refund.

Customers with any questions or concerns may contact H-E-B Customer Service at 1-855-432-4438 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central Standard Time.
