FREER, Texas — Freer ISD announced Sunday night that they will be switching to virtual learning from Jan. 5-8 after they were notified that seven students and seven employees tested positive for COVID-19.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our Buckaroo families. Campuses will be working out plans to distribute devices for those students whose devices are at school," the school district said on their Facebook page.
All employees will be tested for COVID-19 starting Monday Jan. 4, and the district says they will continue to do all they can to keep students and staff safe.
