CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you’re looking for something to do today, you can celebrate the National Park Service’s 104th birthday by visiting the Padre Island National Seashore for free.
Legislation creating the National Park Service was signed into law by President Woodrow Wilson on this day in 1916.
There are now more than 400 sites across the country.
And in honor of their birthday, they will not be collecting entrance fees today, including at PINS.
