CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority will be offering fare-free rides for anyone voting in the primary election on Tuesday.

It's part of their "Ride the 'B' to Vote" campaign. Proof of voter registration and identification are not required to use the service.

The complimentary transportation services will include, Fixed-Routes, B-Line Paratransit (for eligible customers), and on-demand taxi service provided by R.E.A.L. and Paisano for rural customers.

"CCRTA understands that transportation or financial hardship can be seen as a barrier to voting," said Jorge Cruz-Aedo, CCRTA's CEO. "We want to remove those obstructions by offering complimentary transportation on March 3rd."

Individuals with disabilities who are eligible to be transported via B-Line Paratransit will need to call the "Ride the 'B' to Vote" at 361-903-3596, to schedule a pick-up time in advance.

Those services will be offered all day on Tuesday. Return trips will also be available once polling stations have closed.
