CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Former CCISD bus driver Marlon Frazier was indicted on child pornography charges and charges related to messages exchanged on social media with a Kaffie Middle School student.
The Nueces County District Attorney's office announced the indictment on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened last year, but law enforcement officials became aware of screenshots containing child pornography.
District Attorney Mark Gonzalez said the screenshots spread quickly on social media, and as it did, his office and law enforcement officials began their investigations.
Gonzalez said he was tagged in multiple Facebook shares, and minutes later, people were calling into the district attorney's office reporting it.
"Before you know it, we found the individual, we found the source, and the investigation continued, and that's where it got us today," Gonzalez said.
Attorneys with the district attorney's office said Frazier was indicted on one count was for attempted online solicitation of a minor, one count for attempted possession of child pornography, and five separate counts of possession of child pornography.
