CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The school year may be over but bus drivers still hit the road Wednesday morning in the Flour Bluff school district.

They ran their routes for a school bus parade. The district's bus drivers wanted to let their students know how much they missed them.

The bus windows were decorated with messages for students from their teachers and their bus drivers.

Tanya Osburn, a bus driver, said, "I miss seeing their smiling faces and that's what made my job what it is today and just being able to interact with them and watching them grow."

The bus parade also served as routine maintenance check. It gave drivers and opportunity to make sure their buses don't have any mechanical issues.
