CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — According to DPS Sgt. Nathan Brandley, DPS troopers were investigating a Nov. 27 fatal hit and run accident in Aransas County. They were told a truck possibly involved in that hit and run accident was parked at the home on the 1200 block of Vance Drive, off Airline and McArdle.
When state troopers arrived, the truck was gone but they found a UHaul truck with several stolen items. Troopers contacted UHaul and found the truck was never returned to the company but UHaul never reported it stolen.
Inside the truck, troopers found several weed eaters and items stolen from a nearby apartment complex. CCPD was called to confiscate those items. They are now calling the the proper owners to pick up their belongings.
Sgt. Brandley said at this point, no arrests have been made but DPS is planning to issue several warrants in this case.
