Vaping has exploded in popularity among young adults.
it seems every where you turn, someone has an e-cigarette.
Some are even smoking e-cigarettes in public buildings like stores and bars. Some say it's legal.
So, our KRIS 6 News Fact Check team contacted Lauren Rabe with the Corpus Christi-Nueces County Health Department. Rabe said there is a city ordinance in place, that states you cannot smoke tobacco products or e-cigarettes in public buildings.
Rabe said if you find someone vaping in a public building, contact their Environment Health Division at 361-826-7200. Make sure you have the name of the facility that is allowing the vaping and provide them with the day of the offense.
The Corpus Christi-Nueces County Health Department will then begin an investigation.
