CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — That upcoming Everhart Road improvement project may prove to be a hardship on drivers and some business owners.
During a public meeting last night, the city announced the intersection of Bonner and Everhart Road will be completely shut down for the duration of the project. The streets from Everhart Road, from Holly to SPID will be rebuilt.
That work is expected to begin in about two months.
The major concern, especially for the businesses on this road, is the length of time of construction and the impact to their businesses,” said Marisa Alaniz, the city project manager for the Everhart project. “We are doing everything we can to mitigate those concerns and issues.”
The entire project is expected to take about 18 months to complete.
