CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 72-year-old man is facing charges in yesterday's double homicide in the Kings Crossing subdivision.

Mohammad Sahi has been charged with the capital murder of his daughter 47-year old Nargis Zaman and 18-year old grandson Hamed Zaman and the aggravated assault of grandson Hamzah Zaman, 21. Sahi's bond has been set at $2.75 million.

Police were called to a home in the 6200 block of Denain Drive on the city's south side at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to treat an injured person. When they arrived at the Kings Crossing-neighborhood home, officers found two bodies, and a victim with injuries.

According to a court document, police responded after a 72-year-old man approached a neighbor asking him to call police. The neighbor reported seeing Sahi in a camoflauge cap with blood on his face and a possible broken nose.

When the officer arrived, Sahi admitted to having killed his family. The officer noted Sahi remained calm, and stated Sahi's clothing was covered in blood spatter. He again admitted killing three people, and the responding officer placed him in handcuffs.

The responding officer reported seeing severe facial and head trauma on all the victims as he cleared the home of more suspects. When he asked Sahi for the gun, Sahi reportedly told the officer he committed the killings and injuries with a stick.

The case has been assigned to the 105th District Court and he is expected in court at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
