Even though this year's Buc Days has been postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buccaneer Commission has found a creative way to kick off this year's virtual event "Buc Days Home Days."
Every year, the commission kicks off Buc Days with the dunking of the mayor. The city's top leader walks the plank and jumps right into Corpus Christi Bay.

Since Corpus Christi is under a "stay at home" order, Corpus Christi Mayor Joe McComb had no choice but to walk off his diving board at home.
The event, which was broadcast on the Buc Days Facebook page, kicks off 11 days of musical performances and events you can watch online.
