BISHOP, Texas — A driver involved in a single-vehicle rollover accident will face criminal charges for leaving the scene of the accident on Saturday morning.
Bishop Police, Nueces County Pct-3 Constable Deputies and Texas DPS Troopers were dispatched to U.S. Highway 77 and County Rd. 12 around 7:00 a.m. on Saturday after a rollover accident was reported.
At the scene, first responders found nobody inside or around the vehicle. Several hours after the accident was reported, the driver of the vehicle contacted the Bishop Police Department. While the man noted no significant injuries, police say he will be facing charges for leaving the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
