CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — City Council has approved the purchase of four replacement ambulances to be used by the Corpus Christi Fire Department.

The purchase will total more than $1.1 million and is being funded through the city's adopted budget for 2022.

All four medic units will be equipped with power stretchers and loaders for safe patient transport, as well as new cardiac monitors to transmit EKG readings to hospitals before arrival.
