CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — City council announced today an agreement with a company to remove the decorative lighting system from the old Harbor Bridge.

The lights were found to be corroded during an inspection in December.

The lights were first installed in 2010 and were designed to last about five years.

Their removal will cost around $450,000.

The removal project will take about 10 weeks.
