Corpus Christi Pride Pet Paw-rade organizers seek volunteers

CORPUS CHRISTI — June is Pride Month and there is a parade happening with four-legged allies.

The Pet Paw-rade will start at St. Paul United Church of Christ Saturday, June 12 at 10 am. The fun and festivities will go on until noon.

Pride Corpus Christi is looking for volunteers for the parade.

  • Four parade guides are needed to lead walkers and their pets along the parade route and to help with crossing the street.
  • Two people are needed to help hand out Wienerschnitzel hot dogs and condiments to attendees.
  • Two people are needed to direct attendees to trash cans and recycling units at St. Paul United Church of Christ and along parade route.
  • Two people are needed to assist ICA radio station during live remotes, assist bounce house operator, assist St. Paul Pastor Dana with any needs.

This year's Pride Parade and Block Party that typically happens this month, is scheduled to take place on October 9 to give people more time to be vaccinated and of course the weather should be cooler.
