CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police are looking for the person who shot a man on North Beach Wednesday night.

Officers say it happened around 10:15 p.m. in the parking lot of a motel on Surfside Boulevard and Neil Street .They say the shooting appears to have started with a fight between a man and another person inside a vehicle.

"Shots were fired from within the vehicle, striking the pedestrian,” says Lt. Michael Pena of the Corpus Christi Police Department. “The pedestrian passed due to his injuries."

Police say they are speaking to possible witnesses to try and identify the vehicle involved as well as the shooter. The name of the victim has not been released, but police did identify him as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s.
