CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — If you’ve driven through SPID in Corpus Christi recently, you may have noticed a giant billboard with a photo of Texas Senator Ted Cruz with the word “resign” next to his name.

This is part of the Republican Accountability Project’s $1 million nationwide billboard campaign targeting eight members of Congress, calling them to resign following the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6.

According to the organization's website, they are targeting "GOP lawmakers who were the most irresponsible during the aftermath of the 2020 election."

News 4 San Antonio reports that “the group is being lead by some of former President Donald Trump's administration officials as well as other leaders from organizations like Republican Voters Against Trump.”

The organization has made billboards for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley, Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn, California Rep. Kevin McCarthy and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan.
