CCPD releases surveillance images of bank robbery suspect with cane

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Police Department is seeking information involving an alleged bank robbery that took place Wednesday.

Officials said at about 12:30 p.m., a white man about 60 years old with gray hair and a cane, went into Prosperity Bank near the 4100 block of Staples Street.

"The teller gave an undisclosed amount of money to the male offender who then fled on foot and got into a silver SUV," CCPD officials stated in a release.

The robber left the bank in a silver SUV with a covered spare tire on the back.

Officials said the man did not seem to have a weapon on him at the time of the robbery.

The incident is still under investigation.
