9-year-old boy returns safely to his home

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — UPDATE: (5:51 p.m.) - Josiah Preston Andrews has returned safely to his family.

The 9-year-old boy had been reporting missing to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

Andrews never returned home from school, his mother told officers, and had been missing since 3:30 p.m.

Josiah attends Menger Elementary. He lives in the 400 block of Ohio Ave, about three blocks away from the school.

Corpus Christi Police Department Public Information Officer Travis Pace told KRIS 6 News confirmed that officers currently are at the boy's home.

Officers were headed to the school to review surveillance video try and get an idea of where Josiah was last seen.
