CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police officer Michael Love attended Alan McCollum's funeral services only a day after his hospital release.
Love was injured in the same accident that killed Officer Alan McCollum along SPID last Friday.
Love was hospitalized for a pelvic injury and released yesterday afternoon.
As a police procession was leaving the headquarters downtown for last night's visitation, Officer Love stood and saluted.
This morning, he sat in the front row at the funeral services for Officer McCollum.
Following the gathering, Love was escorted out of the church using a walker. He hugged several of his police department colleagues as he left.
