CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Today marks the new school year for many students across the city. And for the surrounding neighborhoods, that also means a new school.
It was first day of classes for CCISD's new campuses at Windsor Park Elementary, Baker Middle School and Cunningham Middle School.
CCISD superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez toured the new schools today.
We caught up with him at the Baker Middle School campus.
“When we were able to get all the support for the bonds and then breaking ground, seeing the construction going up the past couple of years – we’re really excited for our students and our families and our community,” Hernandez said.
And with these brand new campuses come brand new school zones. Police ask you to be aware of those school zones if you travel near those campuses.
