CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Catholics are going back to mass as Bishop Michael Mulvey from the Diocese of Corpus Christi reinstated the obligation to attend on Sundays.
Mulvey says that with the improving conditions of COVID-19 cases in the area, Catholics should feel safe enough to return to church with safety precautions in place.
“People are happy to come back and see each other. We've been wanting to come back, we have just been waiting for Bishop Mulvey to allow us and give us the ok to come back and he's done that,” said Knights of Columbus member Rudy Ortiz.
Bishop Mulvey added that those who are chronically ill or those who may feel sick may stay home.
