CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Halloween is still more than a week away but the Boys and Girls Club invites you to stop by and 'Trunk or Treat' Thursday night.
The drive thru trick or treating event spotlights the 21st annual "Lights on Afterschool" initiative which celebrates afterschool programs.
The trunk or treat events will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Greenwood and Flour Bluff Boys and Girls club locations.
Thanks to support from the Port of Corpus Christi and Disney, kids can stay safely in their cars and drive up to tables to pick up free goodies.
Boys and girl club staff will hand out pre-filled treat bags which contain bracelets, stamps, coloring pages and candy.
Kids can also get a free hot dog, chips and water and a free book. This year, Disney donated 2,000 books for this event.
Costumes aren't required but we've been told kids who dress up might get an extra treat.
