BEN BOLT, Texas — Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Independent School District announced Sunday night that they will be temporarily closing elementary and high school campuses after testing done on Nov. 6 revealed that 11 students and staff members have tested positive for coronavirus.

The district has classified this as a medium-high risk level, and has decided to close the campuses from Nov. 9 through Nov. 13 for deep cleaning.

All classes will be held virtually while the schools are being disinfected. All the individuals who tested positive on Nov. 6 will be asked to quarantine for 10 days and provide a negative test result before returning back to campus.

Due to this closure, all football and basketball games have been cancelled, along with the Bi-District Playoff football game scheduled for this week.
