CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Teachers from Baker Middle School enjoyed Teacher Appreciation Week in style on Thursday.
Educators were treated to lunch courtesy of Bubba's 33 and the Baker Middle School PTA.
Close to 40 teachers and staff attended the event.
"This is pretty much a Baker teacher reunion, we've not seen anybody in a long time, we are making sure we keep distance from each other but this is the first time a lot of our teachers have seen each other face to face since before spring break." said Baker Middle School Principal, John Dobbins.
Teachers say the hardest part for them during the pandemic has been to not be able to see their students face to face.
Teachers and students have maintained social distancing by staying touch through computers, texts, e-mails and phone calls.
