CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The rain didn’t stop a “Back the Blue” march and rally in support of local lawmen downtown on Saturday afternoon.
The event was organized to help bring support to local law enforcement agencies. Event organizers took proper precautions like social distancing and providing face masks and hand sanitizers due to the current pandemic.
Organizer Joe Michael Perez said he wanted to send a message of support to local police officers.
“We're out here marching for the blue, for the men and women in uniform who sacrifice their lives and take risks,” Perez said.
