CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Apollo Towing Service has been helping people get home safely during the holidays for a decade.
It's all part of its "no excuse" holiday towing campaign.
Today, they held a kickoff event with first responders and District Attorney Mark Gonzalez to talk about the importance of the initiative.
The owners started the program 10 years ago to keep our community safe and remind people that there are no excuses when it comes to drinking and driving
“It’s just not worth it,” Gonzalez said. “I would advise everyone out there to make this Christmas a safe one and don't cause your family or another family any harm.”
Mike Staff, the vice president of Apollo Towing Service, said his company is honored to help first responders make our streets safer.
“So, in an effort to support those who are standing behind me and to off them another tool in their tool belt as they're out there as first responders, each and every day serving the community, we offer this program this holiday season,” Staff said.
Apollo Towing will provide this service starting Friday and will continue through the New Year’s holiday.
In order for you and your car to receive a ride home, you are required to have proof of residency and vehicle keys.
