Parents in Alice are being asked to be on the look out after a man approached a 7-year-old girl.
Police say it happened on Tuesday around 3 p.m. in the afternoon.
The girl and her siblings were playing on the porch when a man pulled up in a white, older model Ford Focus.
The driver offered the girl candy and told her he knew her grandfather, Robert.
When the girl and her siblings ran in the house, the man took off.
"I don't know," said Robert Garcia, the girl's grandfather. "Well, just wait and see if he passes again, because you know they always say, 'Criminals are dumb, and they'll repeat their mistakes again' and that's why I'm very alert now."
Garcia said officers took a report but he hopes they will patrol his neighborhood.
