CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx — We are a day away from the Nueces County Medical Society Annual Health Fair.

This event is a collection of health related organizations from throughout the community to encourage a healthy lifestyle and foster wellness within the Coastal Bend region.

Each year hundreds of residents circulate through this event, which features scores of information booths, healthcare presentations, health screenings and live, interactive demonstrations throughout the American Bank Center.

The health fair is free and open to the public – all ages welcome to learn about their current health status, preventative healthcare measures and ways to improve their lifestyle.

The event will have physicians on site to answer questions, and provide free immunizations, free athletic physicals and free bike helmet giveaways for the kids.

The Nueces County Medical Society Health Fair, that has been taking care of residents in the South Texas area for 53 years, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13 at American Bank Center, 1901 N. Shoreline Blvd.

Vendors will range from physician’s offices to gyms to experts on healthy cooking.
