A two-year-old boy along with an 18-year-old teenager were killed in a fatal head-on crash.
The 18-year-old boy is identified as Mario Alberto Benevidez, from Kingsville. The two-year-old boy is identified as Haven Sandoval.
The incident happened on Farm Market 70 near County Road 73 near Bishop, Texas around 11:15 p.m. Friday.
According to a report from the Department of Public Safety, a vehicle traveling westbound along FM 70 for unknown reasons drifted into the wrong side of the road.
Another vehicle traveling eastbound tried to evade the crash but both vehicles ended up colliding head-on.
A two-year-old boy, along with an 18-year-old teen, were killed in the crash. Both victims were in the vehicle that entered the wrong lane, according to a DPS report.
The reported concluded the two-year-old was seated inside of a car seat at the time of the crash.
According to a first responder at the scene, two people were transported via HALO to Christus Spohn Shoreline. At this time, their medical conditions are unknown.
