BOYS & GIRLS CLUB HIT & RUN COMPETITION – possible reschedule for Tuesday

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Bend is planning to host a FREE Scotts® Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit & Run™ Competition this Saturday, but the rain might move it to Tuesday.

If all goes as planned, the event will last from 10 am – 2 pm at the Greenwood Unit Outdoor Sports Complex behind the main building. The address is 3902 Greenwood Drive, 78416. However, if the rain proves formidable, the event will be moved to Tuesday May 14, 2019 at 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm.

Pitch Hit & Run™ is the official skills competition that the Major League Baseball® uses.  The program is designed to provide young athletes an opportunity to compete, for free FREE, in a competition involving key baseball and softball skills.

Pitch Hit & Run is open to boys and girls from the ages of 7-14 years old. Participants will be divided into four age divisions: 7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, and will have opportunities to advance in big ways. There will be four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals during the 2019 MLB™ All-Star Week®.
