A Brownsville-area man has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 40-year-old Luis Flores was been wanted for failing to register as a sex offender since September 2018 when he left his last known address in Los Fresnos, near Brownsville.

Flores was convicted in Dallas County in June 2013 for indecency with a child – sexual contact, after an incident involving a 10-year-old girl.

DPS says Flores also has a criminal history of aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, burglary and drug offenses.

Flores’ entire wanted bulletin can be read here.

Authorities describe Flores as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 220. He has tattoos on his back, abdomen, chest and upper left arm.

DPS says Flores is considered to be armed and dangerous, and citizens should not attempt to apprehend him.

A $3,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Texas Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to any person who provides information that leads to the arrest of one of the Texas 10 Most Wanted fugitives or sex offenders.

So far this year, Texas Crime Stoppers has paid $25,000 in total rewards for anonymous tips that resulted in arrests.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities using one of the three following methods:

Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).

Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.

Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).

All tips are anonymous, regardless of how they are submitted, and tipsters will be provided a tip number instead of using a name.
