Another Easter tradition continues at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
Ladies from the congregation’s Delphi Club have been baking traditional sweet treats since 1963.
Today, locals stopped by to buy Baklava, twist cookies, Greek Lasagna and the traditional Easter Bread with the red egg buried inside.
The hard-boiled, red egg baked into the bread represents the new life and Christ’s blood. Proceeds from the sales, including a Greek cook book, benefit the church.
The Easter sale is just one of the events held including November’s Greek Fest.
