An athlete from Corpus Christi has made her mark in the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, getting fourth place in the Javelin throw.
According to the Javelina Athletics department, Texas A&M University, Kingsville student Athlete Madeleine Maltais managed to toss her Javelin 44.15m, besting professional athlete Marilyn Nwawulor and a bunch of other division one athletes.
The Tuloso Midway alumni landed all six of her throws without a single foul.
Maltais isn’t just a stellar athlete.She has a whole list of accomplishments on her Javelina Athletics biography including President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Vice President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 2017 Secretary for the American Society of Civil Engineers, Ambassador for the Frank H. Dotterweich College of Engineering, Named to President’s List in 2016, 2017 and 2018, LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2017 and 2018, 2018 LSC Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic, Member of the 2018 D2ADA team, and second place in javelin at the 2018 LSC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
