Corpus Christi City Council honors KRIS 6 News anchor Katia Uriarte

The Corpus Christi City Council honored KRIS 6 News anchor Katia Uriarte during today’s meeting.

 

Mayor Joe McComb presented Uriarte with a certificate of commendation for her 19 years in broadcasting, 15 of which are in Corpus Christi, and her work with several non-profit groups in our area.

 

Uriarte is involved with Triumph Over Kid Cancer, Foster Angels of South Texas, the March of Dimes, YWCA and Catholic Charities in South Texas.

 

She was joined at the meeting by KRIS 6 General Manager Greg McAlister, KRIS 6 News anchor Lee Sausley, KRIS 6 News Chief Meteorologist Dale Nelson, KRIS 6 News Sports Director Alan Harwell and KRIS 6 News Director Paul Alexander.

 

McComb congratulated Uriarte on her move to KRIS Communications and thanked her for her endless commitment to the City of Corpus Christi.
