Due to wet grounds, the Calallen Championship & Mira’s Classic games have been canceled and moved to different fields throughout the Coastal Bend.
The Calallen Tournament Championship is moving to Steve Chapman Field in Calallen and the semifinal and final rounds of the Mira’s Baseball Classic will be held at Cabaniss Field.
According to a press release from the Corpus Christi Hooks, “The freshly-graded infield clay at Whataburger Field is too soft for players to compete safely,” Officials from the Corpus Christi Hooks said in a press release, “lack of sunshine and the high humidity has prevented the ground crew from getting the surface ready for play.”
Whataburger Field is still scheduled to host Moody and Veterans Memorial on Tuesday at 7pm.
