The district-wide spelling bee took place today, with some of the brightest young minds in the Corpus Christi Independent School District battling it out to be the district’s spelling bee champion.
This year, 46 students from all over the CCISD campuses went head to head at Veterans Memorial High School.
After an intense spell-off, Isaac Elliot, an eighth-grader from Baker Middle School took home the victory. Issac will advance to compete on national TV, in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Maryland at the end of May this year.
Congratulations to Issac and to all the stellar spellers who competed in this competition.
